i.MX 93 FRDM Board
The NXP FRDM family of boards has added a new dimension of flexibility to prototyping based on i.MX processors. Arm Virtual Hardware provides limited model of this board configured for the i.MX 93 SoC and includes a ready-to-use firmware package (stock firmware) to run on virtual device. These are zip archives prepared according to the AVH Linux firmware package format explained in Linux Firmware Packages.
The following stock firmware packages are available:
- LF_v6.6.36-2.1.0_images_FRDM_4.0_IMX93 firmware package runs Linux 6.6.36-2.1.0 for FRDM i.MX 93 on its virtualized instance. See FRDM i.MX 93 Development Board download access choose version 40. This firmware is unmodified other than the selection of the
imx93-11x11-frdm-dsi.dtb
rather than the default Device tree.
Limitations
All primary board features are supported other than:
- Boot mode selection, currently the Kernel is directly booted by the infrastructure
- HDMI is not supported, instead a WaveShare display is attached to the DSI connector
- SD card is not supported, the rootfs is stored on the emmc
- QSPI flash is not supported
- WiFi and 802.15.4 are not supported, the wired ethernet is supported
- Camera input is not supported
